Introduction
Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) are specialized institutions that provide technical training. They operate under the Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGET), part of the Ministry of Labor & Employment, Government of India.
We believe that pursuing a technical career can lead to improved salaries, better working conditions, and enhanced self-image, resulting in a higher quality of life. This conviction drives our mission to help individuals achieve such improvements. ITIs across India focus on imparting technical skills, and candidates who have completed the 10th standard (SSLC) are typically eligible for admission. The main goal of ITIs is to supply industries with skilled technical manpower by training individuals in fundamental skills necessary for roles such as operators or craftsmen. Courses are designed to teach the basic skills in specified trades such as electrician, fitter, and plumber. Graduates of engineering trades can pursue further education, such as a diploma in engineering. Additionally, Advanced Training Institutes (ATIs) offer specialized short-term courses to further enhance candidates’ skills. ITI graduates can also start their own businesses, such as garages or workshops, depending on their chosen trade.
